Garden ceremony? Do we need an arch?

I don't think you need an arbor or arch, but at the very least you should have a potted plant or arrangement on each side of where the officiant stands. I went to an outdoor wedding a few weeks ago and they had 2 plant stands with flowers in them next to the officiant, that was the only decoration besides the big tree in back of her.
