How does the poet use hyperbole to create humor in this poem?

This is obvious. The poet uses high exaggeration to describe the rubbish accumulation. One smiles as they read the dance with words and rhyme and at the silliness of the hyperbole. The rubbish touches the sky is a clue to hyperbole! One also finds dear Cynthia amusing.
