Does anyone have advice for taking care of garden snails?

I have six snails; Judy, Dewie, Jimmer F.A.S.(Fantastic And Slimy), Sandy, Freddy, and Sampson. I want to know the best ways to keep them happy and healthy without getting them a tank. Can anyone help?
