Is there something spooky going on?

Last night I had quite an in depth dream about being haunted. In the dream I was taking care of my nephew when a lot of strange things started happening around the house. There was human shapes sort of coming through the wall, kind of like from the original Freddy film though that never scared me, only made me laugh. In the dream however, I recognised the Freddy reference and laughed until it actually kind of scared me. Plenty more of weird things kept happening. Oh, and the house had sort of a red feel, quite like when you are in a photographic dark room but a little lighter. When I woke up, I went downstairs to find a lamp on in the front room. I hadn't been in there the night before so I couldn't have left it on and my dad swears it was off when he went to turn the tv etc off before going to bed. Am I looking too far into the dream or would you think there was something going on? Oh and I've never experienced anything strange in this house before and i've lived here for over a year... I have a cat?
